Shooting the breeze with Breezie

Well it will soon be my 65th birthday, and yes you read that right…..65. Time goes by to darn fast and it is true that the older one gets the faster that time will pass you buy. So each day be sure to tell someone you love them, hug someone and remember that words can cut deeper than a 2 edged sword, so be kind and treat others as you want to be treated. Never take today for granted, because it might be your last day on this earth.

I live with Fibromyelgia and I do not have a day that I am totally pain free, I can deal with it except for the nights where sleep is impossible because of the pain. I even went and bought a waterbed and it has helped because I don’t have as much pressure on my joints as what I did. But I still have problems with my shoulders and I am a side sleeper, so sleeping on my sides without some sort of foam wedges that help to take the pressure off my shoulders is darn near impossible. I even bought one for under my legs and it helps a great deal as well…so if you have trouble sleeping because of PAIN, then you might want to check out the foam wedges and see if they might help you as much as they have helped me.

I worked in the Insurance Industry for a good number of years, while I did enjoy it, towards the end I was glad to be looking for another line of work because of job burnout. I have friends in the nursing industry, even a few of them a male friends and I often wonder if they suffer from nursing burnout and start to think that it might be time for a change. My change took me to driving a school bus for 15 years, another job that I no longer miss now that I am retired either…

For those of you who have indoor cats, I am really curious what brand/trype of liter works best for you? I usually buy whatever is on sale, but some of the cheaper brands just do not do a good job at controlling the odor like some of the more popular name brands do, I try to buy in the large 25lb buckets and go through about 2 of those a month with the 3 cats. My one old cat who is 19 has thyroid problems and he goes through liter really fast because he drinks a lot of water.

My one friend has such a lovely home, its so peaceful, its set back in the country and away from anyone and everything,there is a very long driveway leading back to the log cabin and from the road you don’t even know that it is back there either, it has a rustic decor to match the outside, and since its a log cabin as well….its just perfect. I would love to own a log cabin home, but I doubt that I ever will, not at this late stage of my life anyway.

I run several online groups, and its nothing new for me to encounter a drama queen now and again. But once in awhile one will just completely catch me by surprise because it takes awhile for them to start their nonsense. And then I especially like when they turn around and LIE to try and make it look like they are not a fault for the DRAMA getting started in the 1st place. Needless to say, I delete them from the group, that is if they don’t leave or ask to be removed.

Well I guess miracles never cease, I have been after a new stand for my TV in my living room for awhile now, I have a 32″ LCD TV right now. I got to looking at online ads as well as newpaper inserts and see that they have some really great deals on some combinations that include plasma TV stand as well as different size Plasma TV’s, now I just gotta do some reading to find out what the difference is between a plasma and an LCD tv and see which one I might be interested in purchasing.

Hubby and I raise chickens, I love the summers because its the time when the little peeps show up. Some of the momma hens are a force to be dealt with, if they think you are a threat to their chicks, they will come after you and they fly right into your face, and yet some of the hens are good momma’s but they know that we are not going to harm their chicks, they still get a little defensive, but at least they don’t chase us down and beat the crap outta us. Right now I have a momma hen under my steps to my deck and she has 3 small babies which is a really small hatch, but she is nice and she will let us walk up to her, even tho the babies are a little frightened, she is teaching them to trust us and its a sight to see.

Who does not love a good yard or garage sale? I know I sure do, I find the best things there, as they say, someones junk is always someone else’s treasure. I was looking for a garden hose in good shape and responded to an add for a LARGE outdoor sale with all types of hoses…etc, of course they did not mention they had every type of hose expect a garden hose, heck I even found a rather worn out firehose, which I had a good laugh at, since it was the very 1st time I found one at a yard/garage sale…as they say, there is a 1st time for everything…lol

Well here it is the 1st day of summer, we are at the end of a heat wave right now, temps have been in the 90′s for the past 3 days, and the humidity has gone along for the ride. I guess I should be thankful that at least my home has AC, even if its only window units, its still better than nothing. I feel sorry for those that are trying to survive this heat wave, I think if I did not have AC that I would be heading to a friends house or to the mall, someplace cool at least until the sun goes down. Its raining today, so it has cooled it down some. Might go out and set on the deck for awhile this evening and just enjoy the night air for awhile.
