Whats in a name?

10:50 am General

I know that the name of a blog, or any site for that matter, it should reflect the nature of the site.

I have been ask on several occasions why this has the name of Forumfinder, especially when it has nothing to do with finding a forum.

That question is a legit question, and I probably would be just as curious, if the shoe was on the other foot.

Forumfinder is around 4 years old at this point. It originally was what the name implies, a place to get help to questions, questions on how to set up a forum. But over the years, and for one reason or another, forumfinder changed directions and rather than just let is sit, I added a blog and that is what you now see here today.

I have thought about registering a new domain name for it, but you would be surprised at the seach results that I get, search results with people still looking for “forumfinder”. There was once a great deal of promoting and cost that went into the forumfinder site, and you would be surprised at my search results for “forumfinder”.

So that is a little bit of the explanation on how this blog got its name.

I wouldn’t change a thing. Takes a lot of work to get where you are. Just run a link to this post when they want an answer to why the name of the blog.
