Isn’t the internet just a wonderful place? It offers us so many things,things that we can see ,do and experience.
I know, I spend a great deal of time each day, just surfing, to find things that might interest me. Amazon has become one of my favorite place’s to shop online.
Something else that fascinates me is the fact that you can even find downloadable audio books. Things can’t get any more convenient than that….or can they?
I was watching, or should say trying to watch a movie early this afternoon, I could not get interested in the movie to save my life. I would get up and walk away when a commercial would come on, and if I seen one commercial about acne control, I think I must have seen 20 of them.
I was fortunate when I was a teen, acne was never a problem for me, but it was for my son. But thank heaven, that as he got older, he grew out of it.
We have the Dish Network, and its not cheap by any means, but I do think the commercials are a bit excessive, I know they help to pay to keep the stations on the air, but why don’t they either run the commercials all at the beginning of a movie or at the end?
I was just reminded today, of the very 1st computer than I had.
I used to clean homes, as well as offices for a living, one of the homes had an Apple computer that they replaced, so they told me that if I wanted it, I could have it and they just wanted rid of it.
It had a few problems, but one of my sons friends was able to get it running and we only had to replace the mouse.
One thing that I do remember was that it needed a Mac memory upgrade, but for some reason, which right now, I don’t remember what it was, I just went and replaced the computer.
Do you know, I still have that computer, its packed up in a box someplace and just sits and collects dust. I am wondering if I should perhaps just give it away, or try to auction it off at ebay….but I am not even sure what it would be worth either.
Do you get annoying phone calls? I know we sure do, even with the help of the Do Not Call List, we still get phone calls from various other organizations, organizations that for some reason don’t seem to fall under the “Do Not Call List” guideline.

I don’t own to many things that I have bought that where bought as new items, things have been hand me downs, and some things have even been purchased at garage or estate sales.
This summer has brought a brand new 42″ flat screen TV, a brand new refrigerator, a new washing machine, and the next item will be a new recliner that is needed so badly, and then that will be the end of my purchases for a year or so.
The last time I bought anything new, the cost of the items that I just mentioned about, would have bought me an entire house full of furniture, and YES its been that long.
Its not unusual to have someone that get’s themselves lost in the area, just to pull right into the bottom of our driveway to find out where they are at, and ask directions for whatever town they might be looking for.
There are so many homes up for sale in this area, I think we are about the only family that is left in this that is an original family.
Friday, we had a large van from a New York Moving Company that stopped and ask us for directions to Maysville. I was quite surprised they made it as far as they did before they ran into problems, Maysville is just around 6 miles from us, so once we pointed them in the right direction, off they went with huge smiles on their faces.
My son, he is into just about everything anymore, recently he told me that he thought he might join the local gym and work out on some of their equipment like their ellipticals,
treadmills, trainers and exercise machines.
I told him that I thought it was a good idea, he does white water rafting, and his safety, as well as the safety of others, it depends on him being in top physical condition.
His only problem is, that I don’t know where he is even going to find the time, he has exercise equipment here at home, but it just sits and collects dust.
So I am really curious to whether this idea of his will materialize.
Just tonight, while watching one of my tv programs, I was reminded of a girl a few years ago on my school bus. The kids all had assigned seats, and they where pretty good about setting in them.
During the trip home in the evenings, the bus had some empty seats, kids staying for late activities…etc., so the trip home, was not nearly as crowded as what the morning trips were.
One of the younger girls, she took a shine to one of the older boys, this boy had acne so very badly. And she would sit and tell him about her problems with acne, and explain to him what he needed to do to clear it up.
He would sit and listen to her, not sure if he ever tried any of her suggestions, but its just something that sticks in my mind to this day.
I am forever shopping online for good deals, sometimes I can find something, something that is really a great deal, and then I just will go ahead and purchase it and put it away for Christmas usually.
Amazon is one of my favorite places. Right now I am looking for good stereo speakers for our new tv, but while shopping around, I found some really good deals out there on the xbox 360 console, as well as a bunch of other accessories for it.
I am the game player here, but I would love to get my hands on an xbox, as well as the Grand Theft Auto game.
I drive an older car, while its in good shape, at least body wise, parts are still wearing out. I have had this awful sound for the longest time, had no idea what it was or where it was coming from. That is until the cover for the catalytic converter feel off…lol, talk about surprised.
Now I have this grinding noise coming from my left front wheel, but I think its the brakes.
So, its looks like its going to be yet another trip to the auto parts for at least the brakes.
I am just happy, that I don’t have to drive the car as much anymore.
