I am having such a hard time with wanting to blog anymore. I have been doing so much reading on causes and what will help with the ringing, but so far its not made to much of a difference, if any at all….but at least the ringing isn’t getting any louder.

My concentration level is bad, I even have trouble driving right now and avoid heavy traffic at all cost.

I am under going muscle and nerve stimulation sessions with the chiropractor and I now use a home TENS unit on a daily basis, he still insist that once the nerves and muscles in my shoulder and neck settle down, that the ringing will go away.

Who doesn’t love a truly great yard sale, each spring there are several community sales that get under way here.  This year has been one of the best so far, I have managed to find some really good deals on lots of things, as well as hand rugs.  I can remember my grandmother making rugs and they would never wear out.  Today I was feeling really good, so I took advantage of that and spent a good part of the day just hitting all the sales, I got to talking to a really nice young lady who was very pregnant and looking for baby items and especially baby bedding.  I had just left a sale a around a 1/2 hour earlier that had nothing a nice selection of baby cloths, bedding, and even some furniture.  She made my day when she hugged me and thanked me for letting her know.   She looked like she was ready to have that baby any moment too.  So my day was a very enjoyable day.

Well lets just say I would not wish this on my worst enemy.  But I am glad to report that even though I still have the ringing, I am not letting it control me.

I know that the Tinnitus is my body telling me to take time to slow down and to let go, and that it has been a combination of factors such as sinus problems, a neck injury, and last but not least, stress that have lead to this condition.

I also have TMJ and it causes me to clench my jaw when I sleep, I have a mouth appliance, but its really hard sleep with it in.

So now I am into bio feedback sessions for at least 30 minutes each day, which I do think are working, and with the help of the feedback I notice now that when I wake up my jaw is starting to relax.

I have been told by both my Chiropractor as well as my family physician that the Tinnitus is temporary, and I pray that it does turn out that way….but how long temporary can last is the question, it will be 2 months on the 20th of April since this hit me, but if it turns out to be part of my life for the rest of my life…then so be it, it will not control me….I refuse to let it have that much power over me.

I have now had this ringing called Tinnitus in my head for 6 weeks.  The noise level varies a great deal and just figured out that the weather also plays a critical role in Tinnitus as well.

I have spend so much time just reading anything I can find online, so many products that claim to take away or help with the Tinnitus, but also just as many who say not to waste your money because most don’t work.

At this point the only thing I have tried has been Lipo Flavanoid, I have been taking it for around 3 weeks and notice no difference yet, but I will stick with it until the bottle runs out.   I have also just ordered a few CD’s online that I am hoping will do what they claim.  One CD is subliminal messaging from Brainwave Mind Voyage’s, and the other is white noise.  They should be here about any day now and I am looking forward to their arrival.

My Chiropractor says this will go away…I just pray he is right.

As most of you already know, we lost our Coonhound named Bear in August of last year.  He is still missed and always will be, but we have decided to get another puppy.   We will be making a trip to Ohio sometime this summer, the new puppy hasn’t been born yet, but we have another Coonhound coming from a reputable breeder in Ohio.  It will be another male, just like our Bear.  I am somewhat apprehensive over the idea of having a puppy to train, but looking forward to having it here none the less.

Its been more than 5 years since I had my prescription eyeglasses changed, I can still see fairly well out of my current glasses, but they are pretty scratched up. I bought one of those carbon pencils that is suppose to make the scratches less noticeable and it does work, but only to a certain extent and it doesn’t get rid of the deeper scratches.

So I am thinking that its just time for me to schedule another eye exam and get a completely new prescription for glasses.

Well I am happy to report that I woke up this morning to SILENCE and as they say…silence is golden. I haven’t had a minutes peace for 3 weeks with this latest thing to hit me.

Today I have a cracking/popping sound in my head, its not frequent and since I have been awake now for a few hours, I can hear the humming again, but its at a really low frequency.

I started to take Stress tabs yesterday, since their main ingredient is the B vitamins, and I also started to take 60mg of prednisone on a daily basis, since it is reported to calm the Tennitis down as well, especially in the case where its reacting to inflammation and or sinus problems.

So right now I am happy that my Chiropractor once again is right and that this Tennitus is only temporary and it will go away.

Garage Sales seem to have started early this year. The papers are already just completely full of listings. I like to check out the sales that are reasonable close to me. So Saturday I gave my friend a call and we hit 2 of them in the town where she lives. I didn’t find to much, I don’t buy just to buy, but if I find a good deal and its something that I truly need, then I will buy it.

Do you remember the old type tv stands that you purchased in sets of 4? I found a set that had only 3 tables left with it and they are wooden trays, they are old and have some rings on them, but she only wanted $5 for them and it was a deal I could not pass up. So I brought them home and cleaned them up with some oil soap and they look great. Just gotta love garage sales.
